Maken-Ki! Volume 8 c40 - from Oppai Scans

For those of you who don't know about Oppai Scans, it's the site that is using the original translations of Maken-Ki! along with scans from the volumes to produce new high-quality and uncensored versions of the series. This is the latest chapter, and the first that I have helped with.

DeathsUncleBob over there at Oppai has recently become busier in his real life, So he asked me to collaborate with him on future releases. This is the first chapter of Volume 8. You can find the first seven volumes at Oppai Scans.

If you're wondering why we skipped Chapter 39, it was actually a two-part side chapter ( half of the chapter is the last full color chapter I released, Drink and Meet). Both parts of the chapter, including my full color version, will be available when the whole volume is finished.

  1. Hey Turambar, I know this isn't related to Maken-Ki but the Dragon Age website updated and it seems like Triage X will be on the cover.

There also seems to be something about the HOTD booklet. is it possible for you to see what it says? would appreciate it!

  3. Speedy_J here,

Check out Shouji Sato's latest diary post. He mentions that the March Issue of Dragon Age Monthly will not just have a preview of Vol. 7 full color, but an interview with Daisuke Sato as well.

  4. I was actually thrilled to see that Fujimi Shobo updated their HOTD page and linked to it. That hasn't happened in a long time.

I can't read the ad on their site, but I tried to decipher Shouji's diary entry. As Speedy_J noted, it says the booklet will have a preview of FCE Volume 7, which I would guess is the first chapter of Volume 7 in color. There will likely be other illustrations. I'm not sure what he can include that wasn't in the art book, so I would expect at least some new stuff.

That interview with Daisuke Sato is also supposed to be in Volume 5 or 6. Could it include a major announcement? I guess we'll find out in about a week.
