This was a fun hobby to have while in college, and I enjoyed helping people discover Japanese culture. But the time came to move on. Life called and I answered, starting on the winding path into the unknowable future. I would be a fool to hang back and let the call go unheeded, lost in the ever-dulling banality of a twenty-something's idling.
Thank you all for reading and supporting through the years. I really did it all for you, faithful readers.
Now for a few final requests: Always buy your manga whenever possible, and if you must read online do so only from sites whose owners aren't getting rich off of someone else's copyrighted material. Also if you liked the content here, head on over to Oppai Scans where my friend UncleBob should keep you fairly satiated.
And finally, I owe a huge favor to a good friend. Since I'm still getting a decent amount of site traffic here, I promised I would help promote his stuff. If you're into cyberpunk or sci-fi in general, check out Part 1 of his novel Dreams in the Tower on Amazon.
I thought it was pretty good for a debut novel. Part 2 is also out with Part 3 coming soon. You can also go to his personal blog to read some of his interesting thoughts. I highly recommend it.
For what it's worth, I don't think Highschool of the Dead is ever returning. If it does, you won't hear it from me. Feels kind of weird saying that.
Well...
That's it. So long. Sayonara. Bai bai...
See ya!

I have a last quastion. Where did you bought all the monhtly dragon age magazines? Amazon or some other Websites?
ReplyDeleteGo to amazon.co.jp and search for ドラゴンエイジ. Or make things much easier by going to jlist.com.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your hard work, it was fun.
ReplyDeleteSee you on the other side~
I don't like endings and farewells :(
ReplyDeleteBut life is life and you have yours, I hope that whatever it is you choose to do with it will bring you satisfaction and happiness, so Good Luck :)
And if you ever feel down you can always read some manga, it will never betray you ;)
I'm glad you enjoyed doing this! I personally hope HOTD will return someday, but I guess it won't be anytime soon. Thanks for everything! Goodbye!
ReplyDeleteGoodbye, sweet prince.

ReplyDeleteSo, a lot of you might not care but, I outghta share this.
ReplyDeleteI got into Highschool Of The Dead right after my Death Note phase, and when I like something I fiend for it. Thus, I became an HOTD fanatic. Reading all works from Shouji-san I could find, his hentai, his reg. shit which was also great. I also bought the volumes, and the dvd's.. But, my love for HOTD led me here:
To the first scanlation site I would ever go on. After they stopped with scanning anything, I moved on checking it hoping they'd come back. Sadly, as of November Turambar has decided to split completely and I am happy for him. Went to that site for a very long time. Thank you Turambar, for keeping us posted. I hope you live a good life and stay healthy.
I'm probably wasting my time posting this here; I don't know if anyone will ever read it. I don't even know if Turambar will read it... And anyone who's actively following HotD news, wherever it may be found nowadays, no doubt already knows this, but I learned only today of the death of Daisuke Sato earlier this year.
ReplyDeleteActually, I read this sad news in a comment on this very blog, which I was revisiting for reasons I won't bore you with. I'm not even sure why I was bothering to read the comments... But I suppose there's a chance someone else may come along and read about it in THIS comment. So there you have it.
Great read, thanks for sharing this
