Secret Box Color Illustrations

Since the Secret Box isn't quite finished yet, I've decided to upload the color pages to give you a preview. Keep in mind none of these were drawn by Shouji Sato, but they are still pretty cool. There are only four pages in the "Illustrations" section, but there are other color pages and many pages of manga which you will see when the project is completed. Here's the link for the preview:

I hope this will be enough to keep you satisfied until the entire project is released. Most of the editing is done, and it is now being translated, so it shouldn't be too much longer. Expect it within the next two weeks or so.

  4. Looking forward to the Box, thanks for your hard wotk ;)

I've also ordered a copy and it's still in the mail but I'm still wondering (since everyone only post pic of the items) what does the 72page booklet contain anyway?
How many color pages are there and what kind of manga-chapters are we talikng about (spin-offs, doujins by others or what?)

  5. -OJ-:
The booklet has about nine color pages. Only four are illustration pages though, and two are the "Oppai Gallery" which is the only part done by Shouji Sato. The bulk of the booklet is a doujin-style tribute to HOTD with four comedic spinoffs by different artists. There is also a page for each artist with an artist profile. At the end, there's a novel by Shouji Gatou (creator of Full Metal Panic), but I'm not sure what it's about.
That's about it. I hope this helps.

  8. Thanks for this but I'm going to fight off the urge to peek(I just ordered a copy) so I can be surprised. But what's this about so few color pages? 9 pages out of 72 are illustrations? So what's the rest manga pages? I'm not sure I understand...You said the rest is a doujin-style tribute?

  9. Nine pages are in color, but only four are original illustrations. The manga takes up 59 pages including artist profiles, and the novel is two pages. The rest are just title pages and stuff. I hope that clarified things.

  12. my name is better:
My part of the work is pretty much done. I'm just waiting on translatons. If there's still no foreseeable end after another week or so, I may just post it without translations for now.

  13. Thanks for the detailed description. The booklet was advertised as a 'manga-anthology' so I kind of expected this - but I'd have prefered a manga-artwork anthology :(
Oh well, the extra items are the most important. Looking forward to the translation.

  14. Yeah, I also expected more manga from the book but I was really hoping for more than 9 pages of illustrations[I can't read Japanese yet but I'm working on it!]. Regardless, I ordered it mostly for the extra stuff since a oppai mouse pad alone is like $60 and at $56, it was a steal. I also pre-ordered the full color manga anthology[motivational material for my Japanese studies]. Again, good luck with your release Turambar!
