Full Color Edition Preview

I got my Full Color Edition Volumes 1 and 2 a few days ago, and I did a few quick scans to give you a preview. I didn't spend much time editing, so they aren't the best quality, but that's why they're just sample pages. Here they are:

The actual scanlation will be done by Torpedo Tits. I'll be helping, but I'm not sure when they will be done. If you don't feel like waiting, I definitely suggest buying the FCE volumes. They exceeded my expectations, and they're well worth the money. If you want to buy Volumes 1 and 2 and/or pre-order 3 and 4, you can do so at amazon.co.jp

Thank you to those of you who voted in the poll. I've changed the official name of the blog to "Scans of the Dead". It's the name I was leaning towards anyway, so I'm happy with it. I think I'm going to reset the poll with a new question and possibly have a new poll every week.

BTW thanks for your hard work, hope to see the first volume soon, and if you have this month Dragon Age can you scan the cover of the mag please? It is TX and HOTD on the cover XD, thats something so rare to happen XD

  3. Thanks, darkslayer. I would've posted a mirror link myself, but I didn't think it was worth it for a sample.

I was planning on ordering this month's Dragon Age, but I haven't found it anywhere yet. They don't even have any information yet on the Fujimi Shobo website, and they would usually have a lineup or something posted by now. If HOTDcups doesn't scan it when he does Chapter 29, I'll include it when/if I do the Triage X chapter, or by itself if I don't.

  5. I probably won't be ordering it from Amazon as it's really not worth paying the $40 shipping on a $7 order. I'll most likely order from J-list, but they don't have it for pre-order yet.

Yeah, I've seen the website. That's the cover and lineup for last month's issue with "Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?". I haven't been able to find any images or information for the April issue yet.

  7. Oh okay, I don't know why I wasn't seeing that. What browser are you using? I tried with IE 8, Firefox 3.6, and Safari 5.0, but all I saw was the March issue.

  8. I use Firefox too but try cleaning the temporary files of the browser

  9. I already tried that, and it didn't work. I'm not too concerned about it right now though. I saw the lineup and cover, and that's all I really needed.

  10. I have a question, what about the ova edition of volume 7 of the manga? That volume goes on sale on april and manga will have a special cover. the standard edition will have a diferrent cover but without the ova and will be on sale on May I think so I was wondering if you have plans at least to scan the cover of the ova edition or if it has some diferent stuff you will include it on your release of vol 7.

    thanks for your time
    saludos

  11. Well, I'm not sure yet if I'm going to do my own version of Volume 7. I have the OVA edition pre-ordered. If I don't do the entire volume, I will at least scan the cover and anything that comes with the OVA (e.g. booklet, BD case, etc.). For everything else, you may have to wait for the Torpedo Tits release.

  13. I removed your comment because it had a link to the publisher's site, and that's probably not a good idea. Your revised comment:
"Well, YP just beat you guys to this, cause they have the first 5 chapters published on their website! HOTD Full Color is already being planned, dang quick if you ask me.
source: http://www DOT yenpress DOT com/2011/03/yen-plus-turns-deadly/#respond"

They're only releasing the first five chapters, which is Volume 1 and half of Volume 2, and, assuming they continue to release one chapter per month, they won't be done until July. Also, we can't really know if they'll include the extras. I can't guarantee we'll have both volumes done by July, but I can say we will be releasing each volume in it's entirety. If you don't want to wait and you don't mind paying, get a subscription to YenPress.

  14. well in any case, it will be good, that you guys translate the FCEs, I would like to get the YenPress editions but where I live, is a pain in the ass to get something from the United States through the internet =/. Maybe in the future I will try to get them to support the industry.

But also is nice to have a digital copy of the volumes. So I will wait for your version of the FCEs :)

  15. Well Yen Plus is actually an online magazine, and it's pretty cheap at $3 a month. Though after what they did to Volume 1, I don't blame you for not wanting to buy their FCE chapters. If you really wanted to support them, it would be better to buy the volumes. I have a feeling the only reason they're releasing the FCE chapters is because they didn't make much of a profit from the volume sales.
