Monthly Dragon Age - January (12/9/11)

No HOTD next month. I'm really getting tired of saying this.

This month's Heroine vs Heroine is a double match-up featuring Yuu and Hinako against Asami and Alice. It's called "School Uniform" which I find a bit strange since neither Alice nor Asami ever wore a school uniform. Since this is the first double match-up, I think we could be nearing the end of H vs H, but we'll have to wait and see. In any case, there's not much ecchi this month.

Here it is:
http://www.mediafire.com/?91n8qqozh66qmwi

I believe I promised something from Maken-Ki!, so here's a little color spread that was in last month's issue of Dragon Age. Expect more Maken-Ki! stuff (namely raw chapters) in the future.
http://www.mediafire.com/?b12bxixvtx9boly

As some of you may know, XLG is probably going to stop scanlating monthly chapters of Triage X and only do volumes from now on. I'm going to start releasing raw chapters each month when they do stop. You won't be able to read it unless someone wants to translate, but at least you will know what's going on.

I'd like to mention that I added a donate function to the blog. I've had this blog for about a year now, and I've spent quite a bit over the months on importing material from Japan (Dragon Age alone has cost around $400). Please help me by donating if you can. I will greatly appreciate any donation, and every little bit helps.

The next issue comes out on January 7, so my update should come a little sooner than usual. I'll probably post at least one Maken-Ki! raw chapter before then, though, so I'll see you then.

Monthly Dragon Age - December (11/9/11)

There will be no HOTD next month. That's all I have to say about that.

Here's this month's Heroine vs Heroine:
http://www.mediafire.com/?n6dupqscul2sztf

This month is Miki Tsurugi versus Rika, and it is called "Sniper." Since Shouji Sato has begun using minor HOTD characters, I'm thinking he has about four or five months before he runs out of characters, and I don't think the hiatus will end before then. As always, look for a high quality version with the XLG release of the new Triage X chapter. Speaking of the new chapter, there is an awesome bath scene this month. You'll have to wait until Volume 4 is released to see it in all of its uncensored glory, though, since Dragon Age doesn't allow too many nipples in a single issue.

I haven't gotten much done lately as far as scanlation goes. I've been extremely busy and will continue to be until December, so you probably won't be seeing much from me until then. When I do have time, I'll be working on Torpedo Tits stuff rather than my own. That being said, I'll still have my usual update next month. See you then.

Maken-Ki! Chapter 33 Full Color

You guys wanted it, so here's the full color version of Maken-Ki! chapter 33. I included three color illustrations, one of them by Shouji Sato, that were also in the Maken-Ki! book that came with this month's Dragon Age. I couldn't translate the title too well, but I think it's something like "Natural Training!? Paisorojii". HOTDcups informed me that "paisorojii" is a pun on "anthology" and thus means something like "boobthology." Anyway, here is my very first project that is not related to HOTD:

Mediafire

Credit for the translation goes to Hidoi~! Translators. I changed a few words and fixed some grammatical problems, but they did all the hard work.

So, does this mean I'm going to start scanning material from other series? Maybe. It depends on what it is, how much free time I have, and what the demand for it is. It doesn't look like HOTDcups will be scanning the HOTD color chapter that was in this month's DA, so I'll get started on that soon. I'll try to have it done within a week or so. See you then.

Monthly Dragon Age - November (10/8/11)

Yet again, I don't have any good news for you from this month's Dragon Age. The color chapter included this month is the first extra episode, "Beginning of the Dead", which is not exactly an exciting chapter, but it's the only omake chapter they haven't done in color yet. If HOTDcups doesn't scan it, I'll try to get it done sometime soon. Anyway, it looks like the hiatus will go on until December at least.

The Heroine vs Heroine this month is Saya versus Oriha with the theme "Twin Tail." Here it is:

http://www.mediafire.com/?bw2929kzou0807e

As I've said before, gringe at XLG does a much better quality version than me, and that one is released with their Triage X chapters each month.

If any of you are Maken-Ki! fans, there was an uncensored full color version of chapter 33 (epic hot spring bath chapter) included in a Maken-Ki! booklet with this issue. If I get requests, I may scan it. Let me know if you want it. Maken-Ki! will have the spotlight in Dragon Age for a while since the anime just started.

My next update should come sooner than this one. November 9 falls in the middle of the week, so my December issue should ship on time, unlike the last two months. See you soon.

Monthly Dragon Age - October (9/9/11)

I finally received my copy of this month's issue of Dragon Age. As most of you probably saw on Torpedo Tits, there will be a Highschool of the Dead chapter next month. This chapter, however, will most likely be re-release of a chapter in full color. I'm guessing they're going to release more Full Color Edition Volumes, and this is just yet another preview. Anyway, I'll scan it if HOTDcups doesn't.

Now onto the new Heroine vs Heroine. This month's theme is "Huge Tits" (yes, it actually says that), and it features Shizuka and Yuko. There's really no explanation needed there. I didn't spend much time on it since gringe at XLG has already been doing more editing than me. You can find that version at XLG when it's posted.

I also included a scan of the cover and first three pages which are dedicated to Triage X and the release of Volume 3. At the bottom of the third page, there is an announcement about the color chapter of HOTD coming next month. I also scanned the lineup for next month's issue since it includes another small announcement about the color chapter.

Here's this month's Heroine vs Heroine:

See you next month.

Shipping Delay

Unfortunately, the package containing my copy of the October issue of Monthly Dragon Age was delayed and didn't ship until Sunday night (CST). I'm not sure why this happened, but it might have been that my bank took too long processing the payment. Either that or DHL is working slowly because of the alleged "security threats" that have been talked about this weekend. DHL's central U.S. hub is now connected to Bahrain, so that can't be helping things.

Anyway, I just thought I'd let you all know why I won't be updating until Wednesday at the earliest. I wish I had better news.

Anime News: Dispelling Rumors About Season 2

I know I don't typically discuss the anime here, but it seemed necessary today.

As most of you probably know, a rumor began circulating around the internet after the end of the first anime season that the second season would begin on September 5 of this year. I am happy to finally be able to officially dispel this rumor. I'm sure most of you knew this was only a rumor as it was coming from forum postings rather than an official source, but I still see this rumor quite frequently on various sites. It's the 5th in Japan, Anime Network's original time for the simulcast has now passed, and there is no new Highschool of the Dead episode. Sure, the airtime could change, but this is something that would have been announced months ago.

There is good news, however. There was a H.O.T.D. panel at Anime Expo this summer (Tetsuro Araki was there), and a second season for the anime was confirmed. There was no information on a release date or even any indication of when production will begin. All that can be said for sure is that there will be a second season. I am almost positive the announcement of a date will appear in Dragon Age, just as the original did, so I willpost scans of the announcement when it happens.

I'll be back with this month's Dragon Age update on Saturday if all goes well. If the package goes the long way around (i.e. through Hong Kong) it won't be until Monday or Tuesday. See you then.

UPDATE:
To see the video clip of the aforementioned HOTD panel, go here. Around 0:55, the interpreter says, "Definitely yes as long as we have everyone's support..." in response to the question of whether or not there will be a second season.

Update and Future Plans

Well, my summer break turned out to be much busier than I had planned. As such, I haven't had much time to continue working on the TV-Animation Complete File. I have to admit I really haven't even finished the first chapter. There were some setbacks and I had to rescan some pages, but everything is now set for me to resume work on it. I apologize for the long delay. Of course, I'll still be giving the Torpedo Tits projects (i.e. FCE and Volume 7) priority over the Complete File. The good news is I have a very light semester this fall, so I shouldn't have trouble finding time to work on all of them.

There doesn't seem to be any new releases coming in the near future, so the only other thing I'll be releasing is probably Heroine vs Heroine each month. Just to be safe, I can't say the Complete File will be released any sooner than one chapter a month with chapter 1 being ready about a month from now. It could happen before then, but I'm not making any promises. There's a good chance that the next time you hear from me will be around September 10 when I get the next issue of Dragon Age. I'll see you guys then.

Monthly Dragon Age - September

I got the September issue of Dragon Age a bit early this month. I guess I'll start with the bad news since that's what everyone cares the most about. There will be no Highschool of the Dead next month, so the hiatus is going on at least until October. It looks like next month's issue will focus on Triage X since Volume 3 has been announced, and they'll probably reveal the release date in that issue. One positive about the HOTD hiatus is that Triage X is getting more exciting. Those of you who are fans will want to read the XLG scanlation of this month's chapter as soon as they post it, which will likely be in the next few days. It's a great chapter.

Here's the new Heroine vs Heroine:
http://www.mediafire.com/?9qrqo21sn1gpz5h

I did a little more editing this time. I don't want to debind my copy, though, so it'll never be perfect. Mikoto's arm looks a little weird in this one, but it's okay other than that. This month's installment is called "Trauma" and features Rei and Mikoto. I suppose the title comes from the traumatic events these two have been through in their pasts. I've always thought Rei and Mikoto were almost identical, in terms of appearance and personality, except for slightly different hair, so this is a perfect match in my opinion.

This illustration series has the potential to last several more months. We'll just have to hope the return of HOTD happens before Shouji-sensei runs out of characters. Anyway, I'll see you guys in about a month, that is unless something happens before then.

Monthly Dragon Age - August

Hello there. I know it has been a while since I last posted, but there really hasn't been much to talk about. I got the August issue of Dragon Age, and there's no HOTD in the lineup for next month. This means the hiatus will continue at least until September, though I doubt it will end that soon. They seem to be shifting focus away from the series, so I think this hiatus is going to be a long one. I'll continue to order Dragon Age each month and post any news or updates (or lack thereof).

On a slightly lighter note, that color illustration series by Shouji Sato premiered this month. All it is, though, is a two-page illustration of Saeko fighting Sayo Hitsugi from "Triage X." This "series" is called "Heroine vs Heroine," and it appears to be comparing the fighting abilities of characters from HOTD and Triage X. This particular gallery is called "Battle Crazy," which makes sense as these are the most bloodthirsty fighters in their respective series. I'm not sure if this will be regularly included in future issues of Dragon Age, but I will scan it if it includes someone from HOTD.

Here is the scan:
http://www.mediafire.com/?9k9pe263gtkp5pv

It's only one image, and I didn't do much editing. It didn't seem necessary to spend a lot of time properly joining the pages, but it's not too bad.

That's it from this month's issue. I hope to have better news when the September issue is out.

Monthly Dragon Age - July

I got the July issue of Monthly Dragon Age, and I'm sorry to say I have some bad news. As of right now, there is no HOTD chapter in next month's lineup. In fact, there is nothing related to HOTD anywhere on the preview for the next issue. I'm not sure if HOTD is officially on hiatus again, but there are some signs that this may be the case. First, Triage X has become monthly since its return, and the latest chapter was quite a bit longer than usual. It would seem Shouji Sato is spending more and more time on Triage X, and he isn't exactly known for putting out a lot of material in a month. I didn't really think too much of the color chapter last month since they did it a few months ago as well. I realized, though, that the last color chapter was released after the FCE volumes had been announced. They haven't announced any more color volumes yet, so I think it's possible they only put it in there because the last chapter said there would be a new one in May and there was no new chapter ready. Remember, this is all speculation. Something that isn't speculation is the fact that we won't get a new chapter until August at the earliest. That will be five months since the last chapter and I believe the second longest hiatus since the series started.

On a lighter note, there was a character popularity poll recently, and the results were included in this issue. As most people should expect at this point, Saeko came in first. Surprisingly (to me anyway), Saya came in fifth and Shizuka came in sixth. Poor Rei came in ninth place, but being in the top ten still makes her very popular in Japan, much more popular than other parts of the world. Personally, I would put Rei first, then Saya and Saeko. I don't like any of the three too much more than the others, but the reason Saeko comes third is that I base my opinion on their character rather than how they look (or what everyone else thinks).

There's nothing really worth scanning in this issue. I can post a picture of the Saeko figure if anyone wants me to. Sorry for delivering the bad news in this post, but I'm figured you'd rather know now than next month.

UPDATE:
HOTDcups informed me that there is supposed to be another color illustration series by Shouji Sato starting in Dragon Age. This further implies that HOTD is on hiatus as this could provide filler until the manga resumes. From this point on, I am assuming that the series is on another indefinite hiatus. I sincerely hope the next issue of Dragon Age will announce a new chapter in August, but I am doubtful that will be the case.

UPDATE 2:
I actually won't be scanning the illustrations from this issue because HOTDcups already did. You can download them over at Torpedo Tits.

Volume 7 Standard Edition Covers

I promised this a while ago, so here it is. I've actually had it for several days, but I was too busy to scan it. I apologize for the delay.

I know it seems pointless to upload such a small file, but it seems easier than posting the images and letting you manually download them. This is definitely my favorite cover yet. Rei looks great. Much better than Saeko on her covers anyway. I'm about to start working on the next part of the Complete File, so expect that within the next two weeks. There may also be another surprise coming sometime before then, but I can't guarantee anything at this point.

extra episode 03 DEAD Illusion Full Color Edition

I decided to go ahead and scan this color chapter that came in this month's Dragon Age. As far as I know, HOTDcups is still doing his own version at some point, but this should hold you over until then.

Mediafire

As with Volume 6, the translations mostly came from the XLG scanlation. There was actually a small section included at the front of the magazine called Focus of the Dead which basically just has an interview with Daisuke Sato and shows the latest HOTD products. Unless you know Japanese well enough to read the interview, you're not missing anything, so I didn't bother scanning it. If there's an overwhelming demand for me to scan it, I'll do it sometime later.

Complete File Chapter 1: Mortalis (part 1)

It's been nearly a month and I've finally finished the first part of the Complete File. This turned out to be much more work than I had thought, so I've decided to release each chapter in two parts. This is the first 30 pages, which is half of Chapter 1 and about a fifth of the book. Here it is:

Mediafire
Thank you to Shinji for providing the raw scans.

This part contains character profiles for the four main female characters, and the remainder of the first chapter will have profiles for Takashi, Kohta, Alice, and most of the minor characters. I'm not really sure when the next part will be done, but it may be much sooner as I'm beginning to develop a good rhythm. Before I start on it, though, I need to catch up on some stuff for the FCEs.

I will no longer be scanlating Highschool of the Head. HOTDcups decided to do it, so I'll be helping him with his. I may, however, be releasing something else in the near future, but I won't say what that is just yet. One more thing: I just wanted to let you know that any revenue generated by clicking ads or the Amazon store goes to buying raws. Importing from Japan isn't cheap.

News and Complete File Update

If you haven't already heard, there is no new Highschool of the Dead chapter in this month's Monthly Dragon Age. I think it says in the magazine that there won't be a chapter next month either-or it doesn't say there will be one at least-but that could change later this month. Instead of a new chapter, the extra chapter "DEAD Illusion" was included in color just like "Cos-play of the Dead" did a few months ago. This is seemingly a preview of the next Full Color Edition volumes, if there are any more. HOTDcups is going to scan it, but in the meantime, I scanned the cover of Dragon Age for you.

Now onto the Complete File. First I'd like to welcome my new helper, Shinji, who is providing the raw scans. He graciously offered to unbind his copy, something I wasn't going to do, so you can thank him for the much cleaner product that will result from his raw scans. The Complete File is divided into four chapters, and I plan to release the first three individually. I'll release the fourth last along with the entire book. There is a small number of names and titles which could be or already are translated, but I don't think I'm going to put them in. It just wouldn't look good having only a few areas of English text among the Japanese. You'll be able to find all of the information on the HOTD Wiki once we get it all on there. I may put the translations in when I release the entire book, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

On the other hand, I probably won't scan the Highschool of the Head volume until I can get it translated, so if you or anyone you know can translate Japanese to English, I'd greatly appreciate your help.

Look for the first part of the Complete File within the next week or two.

Update: There was a problem with Blogger recently that caused this post to be removed and may have prevented some of you from commenting or viewing the blog. The problem should be fixed now. For the trouble, here's some excellent artwork by Shouji Sato that was included with the Highschool of the Head volume. You Saeko fans will enjoy it.

Plans for Complete File

Happy Star Wars Day everyone!

I got the TV-animation Complete File a couple days ago. It's actually pretty cool, and I'd recommend buying it even if you aren't a big fan of the anime. I was hesitant in deciding whether or not I would scanlate it before, but now that I have it, it doesn't look like it will be quite as much work as I thought. The dimensions are a bit different than the Secret Box, so I can actually fit an entire page on my scanner whereas I had to scan half a page at a time with the SB and join them together. This is probably going to be a slow project and posted in multiple parts. There will be some translations, but it probably won't be much. There are a lot of long interviews and descriptions that really wouldn't be worth the effort since it's just anime stuff. You can probably expect the first part in about two weeks, but it could be sooner if the editing isn't too difficult.

May the Fourth be with you!

Volume 7 Scans

I got Volume 7 today. I promised some scans so here they are:

Mediafire

There's not much there, and I didn't get too deep into editing. I just did the slip cover, inner cover, the first color page (actually a pullout two-page spread), and the OVA BD case. That's all for now because I need to work on the FCEs. The standard cover wasn't included with the special edition, so if anyone wants me to scan that, it will have to be in a couple of weeks when I get it. I'll let you know if I decide to do all of Volume 7, but for now I'm not planning on it.

The next release from me will be the TV Animation Complete File, which I should get by Monday. I'm not sure if many of you are even interested in that, but it's still HOTD and I'm sure it has plenty of fanservice. After that, I may do the "Highschool of the Head" volume if I can get someone to translate (let me know if you're interested).

One more thing; I wanted to share with you my favorite scene from the OVA, "Drifters of the DEAD". Enjoy!

Best anime kiss ever!

Volume 7 Shipped and New Features

I just wanted to let everyone know that my copy of Volume 7 has shipped. I could get it as early as tomorrow or as late as Monday, so stay close. The Complete File hasn't shipped yet, but CDJapan usually doesn't take long, so I'm expecting it around the same time.

I'm sure most of you have noticed the changes to the sidebars. First of all, I added a couple ads. I can't tell you to click on them, but I will tell you that they are supposed to become more relevant to the blog's content and demographic over time, so you may see stuff you're interested in. I have to ask that you don't click them excessively to help me. I know your intentions are good, but it will actually hurt me if certain IPs are clicking too often.

The other new feature is something I'm very excited about. I'm proud to present my very own Amazon aStore. In the store, I've conveniently compiled all of the "Highschool of the Dead" merchandise available on Amazon.com. This is my way of helping all of you find "Highschool of the Dead" products, and I'm helping to support the authors in the process. Unfortunately, it will only include products from the English version of Amazon.com, but I may eventually feature products from Amazon Japan or CDJapan. I hope you don't think I'm selling out with all of this. I've always posted links to Amazon anyway; this is just making it easier for everyone.

Volume 7 Cover Revealed

If you're like me, you've been anxiously waiting to see the cover of Volume 7 for a while now. Well, it has finally been revealed. I found it on amazon.co.jp in the listing for the Special Edition Volume 7 (the one with the OVA). I believe this is only the cover for the special edition being released April 26 and not the standard edition released on May 9. So, here it is:
Image from CDJapan
Sorry the resolution isn't great, but I couldn't find it anywhere else. It's definitely different from the previous covers, but I'm sure a standard cover will also be included which follows the layout of the other volumes. I have a feeling Shizuka may be making her first regular volume cover appearance on Volume 7. If not, though, I'm pretty sure it will be Rei. I guess we'll see for sure in about a week.

Update: The standard cover has now been revealed. I was wrong about it being Shizuka, but it is Rei, so I was still right. I won't bother posting an image now as I'll be scanning it in a few days. By the way, theres a volume being released for Highschool of the Head (one of the series in the Secret Box) that I'll probably be buying. I may scan it and post towards the end of the summer, but it's very low on my list of priorities.

New Project: TV Animation Complete File

2011 has already been a huge year for HOTD, and there's yet another release to add to the plethora of new products: the Highschool of the Dead TV Animation Complete File. It's a 160-page anime guide book that's supposed to have detailed information on all twelve episodes and the OVA, interviews with cast and staff, illustrations, maps, and more. The guide book is set to be released on April 26, the same day as Volume 7.

I have the guide book pre-ordered, and as of now I'm planning on scanning it. I can't promise translations at this point, but if there are translations, they will likely be very limited. From what I can tell, there's quite a lot of text with all of the interviews and stuff, so it would be bothersome to translate the whole thing. I will most likely post it in several parts and then post the entire thing at the end. Even doing it this way, each part will still take a while because it's in A4 size (same as the Secret Box) meaning I have to scan each page twice and join them together. This could take a long time with all color pages. I'm thinking I could realease about 10-15 pages a week, but I may do more or less depending on how much work it requires and how I decide to divide the pages up. I'll post more information when I get the book.

As for Volume 7, I'll only be doing the entire thing if HOTDcups doesn't do it. If I end up doing it, it will take priority over the Complete File. Also, the work I'm doing on the FCEs will take priority over everything. I guess I have a busy Summer ahead of me.

Full Color Edition 3 and 4 Preview

I just got Volumes 3 and 4, ao I did a few quick scans like last time. Just like the last sample scans, I didn't do much editing on these. I just did enough so they don't look like they're fresh off the scanner. Anyway, here's the link:

I'm sure you all know this by now, but in case you don't, Chapter 29 was released on Torpedo Tits a couple weeks ago. It's a good chapter; one of the best in a while. Volume 6 should be released there fairly soon as well, so I'll update when that happens. Work on FCE Volume 1 has begun, but it's going to be a bit tougher than the B&W volumes. If you have any experience with scanlation or any experience with Photoshop or any other image editing software, please go to Torpedo Tits and contact HOTDcups. We need all the help we can get.

Other than updates, I probably won't be posting anything new until I get Volume 7, which is in about a month. I'll see you guys then.

Secret Box 2.0 (Raw)

Let me begin by saying the Secret Box is still not translated. I had some free time, so I decided to put the Japanese text back in the manga. I didn't really like releasing it originally without text, but I didn't have time to fix it until now. I made a few other very minor edits, but the text is really the only noticeable change. Whether you were happy with the last version or not, I suggest updating your archives with this one. Here it is:

Since I've been asked about Volume 7, I guess I'll let you know officially what my plans are for it. I have the OVA Special Edition pre-ordered, and I will be scanning at least parts of it. I haven't decided if I'm going to do the entire volume by myself, and if I did it would take at least a month, but I will start scanning the cover, color pages, and other extra stuff as soon as I get it (around April 30). I may even throw in some screenshots from the OVA for you anime fans. I'll post more information as the release date draws nearer.

Speaking of volumes, Volume 6 should be finished soon. I can't give you an exact time for sure, but I can say that most of the editing is done, and I think the translation is done. I'll let you know when it becomes available. Expect it to be far better than my version.

Full Color Edition Preview

I got my Full Color Edition Volumes 1 and 2 a few days ago, and I did a few quick scans to give you a preview. I didn't spend much time editing, so they aren't the best quality, but that's why they're just sample pages. Here they are:

The actual scanlation will be done by Torpedo Tits. I'll be helping, but I'm not sure when they will be done. If you don't feel like waiting, I definitely suggest buying the FCE volumes. They exceeded my expectations, and they're well worth the money. If you want to buy Volumes 1 and 2 and/or pre-order 3 and 4, you can do so at amazon.co.jp

Thank you to those of you who voted in the poll. I've changed the official name of the blog to "Scans of the Dead". It's the name I was leaning towards anyway, so I'm happy with it. I think I'm going to reset the poll with a new question and possibly have a new poll every week.

Updates and Changes

First, I want to give a few HOTD updates for anyone who doesn't keep up with that stuff. Chapter 29 will be released in the April issue of Dragon Age available March 8. Triage X is also supposed to be in this issue, and I may scan it if nobody else is doing it. Volumes 1 and 2 of the Full Color Edition were released today, and they look pretty good from what I've seen. I may upload a few sample scans when mine are delivered, but I'll be working on the full version with HOTDcups at Torpedo Tits. Lastly, the English version of Volume 1 has been released, and Volumes 2-5 will be released sporadically until next January. I encourage evryone to buy them when they become available. Personally, I prefer scanlation over official translation in most cases, but I'm still buying all of the English Volumes in addition to all of the Japanese just to show my support for the series.

I've made a few small changes to the blog. However, there's a larger change that I will need everybody's help with. I've decided to change the name of the blog, or rather give it an official name. Please vote for the name you like in poll at the top right of the page. Keep in mind that this will just help influence me because I am indecisive. I may not pick the name with the most votes.

By the way, I added a "Gallery" page to the blog. Go there to see some sample images I posted from my projects.

Secret Box - No Translations

It turns out the translations for the Secret Box won't be ready for a while, so I decided to post it without them. The only problem is I already removed the original text, so the manga has neither English nor Japanese text. I'm sure most of you probably wouldn't be able to read it anyway. Some of you may not like this, but I really don't have time to start over from the raw scans.

Here it is:

The file is a bit larger than normal. This is because I made the pages relatively large since the booklet is at least three times larger than the regular volumes. The download is slower, but the page quality is a lot better.

I probably won't be doing anything new for a while. The next release is the Full Color Editions for volumes 1 and 2, but I won't be doing my own scanlation of those. HOTDcups is starting on them right away, so I'll be helping him. I'll give you an update when I know when it may be completed.

Secret Box Color Illustrations

Since the Secret Box isn't quite finished yet, I've decided to upload the color pages to give you a preview. Keep in mind none of these were drawn by Shouji Sato, but they are still pretty cool. There are only four pages in the "Illustrations" section, but there are other color pages and many pages of manga which you will see when the project is completed. Here's the link for the preview:

I hope this will be enough to keep you satisfied until the entire project is released. Most of the editing is done, and it is now being translated, so it shouldn't be too much longer. Expect it within the next two weeks or so.

Secret Box Update

I just wanted to let you all know that I have the HOTD Secret Box, and I have begun scanning and editing the anthology booklet. It's actually quite large, meaning I have to scan half of each page and rejoin them, so it could take a little longer than I originally said. I'll try to work as fast as I can without diminishing the quality. HOTDcups will be translating the manga pages, which really make up most of the booklet. The other pages don't really need translation, so you won't be missing much.

Keep checking back. I'll have it posted as soon as it's finished.
